Person using a hammer to break dried clay or earth on a wooden work surface, with larger chunks of clay nearby.

I create objects which hold the marks of their making and the materials they come from

  • I work with materials salvaged from landfill and sourced sustainably from my immediate surroundings – including wild clay collected locally.

The clay bodies I create are blended with ground waste ceramics and broken bisqueware, including unsuccessful works from my own studio.

My glazes are made from ingredients gathered in and around my home: soil, snail shells and ash from my wood stove – humble materials that enhance my connection to the land.
